□ Selection Committee’s Remarks
<Traditional Performing Arts>
    - The applications were screened based on the purpose of the Center Stage Korea program, which is to open up distribution channels for Korean performing arts’ expansion into overseas markets. Subsequent progress and achievements are being made through works introduced through the Performing Arts Market in Seoul and Journey to Korean Music as well as through several overseas festivals and markets, attesting to the growing importance of such platforms for artists who wish to advance abroad.
    - It is especially encouraging to see results in the North American market for which KAMS has concentrated its networking efforts, a relatively proportional number of new and established artists being invited overseas, and a widened spectrum of Korean music being performed abroad.
    - However, there is still a quantitative lack of performers in the traditional arts field, and extended focus is needed on the discovery of quality content. Projects in this field will hopefully continue to develop as KAMS cooperates with various international agencies and festival organizations to enable talented Korean artists to actively work overseas under favorable circumstances.

<Contemporary Performing Arts>
  - In selecting host organizations for Center Stage Korea 2019, the public confidence and recognition in and of the organization were of foremost consideration. In selecting performing groups, aspects of emerging artist support, search and development of overseas expansion routes for internationally renowned artist groups, and the artist group’s possible influence on other domestic groups’ overseas expansion were important criteria of concern, and selection was prioritized in the order of agreement on terms. KAMS is encouraged by the international leverage gained by the host organizations and artist groups as a result of the accumulated support provided through Center Stage Korea.
  - Among the selected groups of artists, some needed to downsize their tour personnel and a support grant was appropriated according to the adjustment. As for a project selected conditionally, support was provided only if the project was selected as an opening or closing ceremony performance of a festival.
