Korea Arts Management Service(KAMS) published ‘2023 Survey on the Performing Art(as of 2022)’ on the size, management, and sales result of Korean performing arts market for 2022.

2023 Survey on the Performing Art(as of 2022), which had its modified survey format approved by Statistics Korea, includes performance results(number of programs, number of performances, number of audiences, ticket sales) using KOPIS data by program.

According to the Survey, total performing arts market turnover including performing arts ticket sales for 2022 (KOPIS data), and performance sales, venue rental, other revenue of performing arts facilities and organizations recorded KRW 972.5 billion, up 97.2% from 2021(KRW 493.3 billion) hit hard by COVID-19, 146.4% from 2020(KRW 394.6 bil), and 14% from 2019(KRW 853 billion).

The Survey was conducted online from June 9 to October 24 in 2023 on 5,286 sample groups of performance facilities and organizations nationwide.
